![]() There is the weird framerate issue with this game on GamePass but games like Gears 5 run smooth as silk. GamePass PC games performance wise just seem to be hit or miss. Leaving only Borderless Window, or Windowed. Also the GamePass version has the option for fullscreen removed. Turning off V-sync seems to help a little. So IDK what in the world the technical reason for it is. What's weirder still is when it happens the area, I'm looking at will have a FPS drop but after ~3 seconds go back to silky smooth despite not moving the camera/view. Not severe drops, but it's noticeable that it's just not running as "smoothly" when it happens. MSI Afterburner shows a locked 60 or 75 FPS (I've tried with my monitor on both refresh rates), but there is obvious FPS drop randomly. I'm noticing that Dishonored Death of the Outsider from GamePass is not performing as well as my copy on Steam. And it just so happens have just two GamePass games installed right now.Īnyways. I notice that all but two of the xvd devices are greyed out. I think Windows just leaves behind an entry in device manager each time you install a GamePass game. If you uninstalled a GamePass game it's not taking up any room anymore. But the ones that aren't are using UWP and these xvd images and are quite different.īTW don't worry about needing to remove the xvd devices from device manager. Just plain Win32 based games hosted on GamePass/MS Store. Some are exactly the same as their Steam versions. XVD is basically the ISO equivalent of a Xbox One game disc image. I have literally about 40 in my device manager. ![]() If you go into your device manager, and click View>show hidden devices, under Disk Drives you will see anywhere for a few to a ton of drives just called "xvd". Some of the game is in the MS store / on GamePass PC literally even use a disc image of the Xbox One version of the game. BUY this game to support the developer STORE PAGE Subnautica Direct Download Indie Subnautica is an underwater adventure game set on an alien ocean planet. Yes I know this turned out to be a long post :P Get all indie games for PC, Subnautica Pre-Installed game direct download on Gamdie. So DO NOT BUY THE WINDOWS GAME PASS VERSION Either way if you are thinking about buying this do not buy the windows game pass version as you can't mod it and the performance on it is just awful. I'm guessing the windows version is running an older version as the medkits in that are red. ON my desktop it never dipped bellow 144 fps. So I downloaded the steam version and well. I figured this was a memory leak issue and restarted my computer which fixed the problem.Īnyhow I wanted to try out the mods and found out I can't really mod the windows game pass version so I bought it on steam. After playing for 7 hours straight though it was down to 50. On my main pc which has a 9900k and 3070 I was able to get around 130 fps with it some times dipping down to 70 or 60. I figured this was due to the game not being well optimized since it's an indie game. Occasionally it would dip down to 10 fps if I was near my base. All I did on the weekend was play and play and play.Īnyhow back to the topic so I downloaded it from the Xbox game pass on PC since it's included and on my laptop which has a 1060 it ran at about 30fps to sometimes 60 fps. It's amazing I'm not a fan of survial games but this sucked me in and I played it for over 40 hours.
